Here in Minnesota, I got to know many homeless people -- perma-camping by the Mississippi, sleeping under I94 in minus 20-degree winter temps, respecting the street code to always return a favor (even if it means losing your new apt), having more dignity, tenacity, and creative survival skills than most people I know in corporate America. I've always believed the homeless people I met were the most courageous people I ever met... and I never forget how razor thin the line is between their living situation and my own. We are one.
