Opa! Thank you JJ... I kid you not: your story was the first thing to light up my phone after our plane touched down in Athens yesterday. I’ve told my wife and father-in-law, with whom I’m traveling, that I’ll be a tourist, an empathic, and a healer on this trip. My dead Greek dad, whose middle name was Hercules, would not tell anyone that I was his son. We had a decent relationship but I’ve been disconnected from my Greek family forever. Now we’re here to cruise the Aegean (have deep conversations with my ancestors from the sea) and visit the monuments throughout the land (stay open to familial energy emitted from ancient temples). Thank you for the timely encouragement to sip my Ouzo of the present, providing an open invite to any of my ancestors to please, join me, and together with salty tears in our eyes, raise a glass to the past.
